The Best Essential Oils for Travel

When you start packing for your next adventure or well-needed holiday, don’t forget to include essential oils for travel! Essential oils promote a sense of wellness as well as allowing you to sleep better, so you can arrive at your destination feeling fresh and energetic. Here is our round up.

LAVENDER OIL

Lavender oil is infamous for its calming and soothing qualities. A couple of drops on your neck pillow or around the nose will release a calming aroma to ease headaches and help you drift off to sleep.

TEA TREE OIL

Tea-tree oil is a must-have for those outdoor trekking adventures. Tea Tree is an effective natural antiseptic, anti-microbial and insect repellant. You can also use tea-tree oil to soothe itchy insect bites, sores and sunburn.

PEPPERMINT OIL

It’s a wise decision to pack peppermint oil to help with the unexpected headache, stomach pains or lethargy. Inhaling peppermint can act as a natural pick-me-up to ward off  jet lag or provide instant mental clarity. You can also apply it to the neck and temples.

CITRUS OIL

Any citrus oil, like orange, grapefruit, lemongrass or lemon is an amazing deodoriser for smelly hotel/hostel rooms. Citrus oil is also great to add to natural spring or sparkling water for a delicious, hydrating taste without the sugar and preservatives, perfect for that long-haul flight.

Organic Jetset

Organic Jetset Balm 70g

Don’t forget to pack your Organic Jetset Balm which uses an empowering blend of native botanicals and pure essential oils to ease the discomforts of travel.  Formulated especially for long distance travel, Organic Jetset keeps the skin hydrated and its blend of oils and botanicals help with anxiety, travel sickness, nausea and jetlag.

When we went overseas last year I took some of this @greenfootmama organic Jetset balm with me… it’s such a handy little thing to take away. Especially after being on the plane. It’s so good for kids too. Bumps and bruises and dry skin and dry lips and everything.

Feel fresh and energetic your whole holiday with the benefits of essential oils!
